What is EDI?

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is the transfer of data between business partners, using standard rules for identifying data.

Data is transferred in the form of text files, called "messages", for transactions such as invoices, remittances, shipping forecasts, advance shipping notices, and shipment releases.
